Stefano Sirci
Stefano Sirci was born in Torino, Italy. He received the B.S. and M.S degrees in Electronic Engineering from the Universitá degli Studi di Perugia, Perugia, Italy, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. As a student, in 2009 he participated in the Erasmus exchange program, developing the Master Thesis at the Universitat Politècnica de València. Since 2009, he has been with the Microwave Application Group (GAM) at the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM) at the Universitat Politècnica de València. (UPV), Spain. He obtained “Master en Ingeniería de Sistemas Electrónicos” in 2011 from UPV. He was a Visiting Researcher at XLIM (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique / Université de Limoges) from October 2011 to December 2011, working on the design of digitally tuned band-pass filters using radio-frequency micro-electromechanical systems (RF MEMS) capacitors. He is currently working toward the PhD degree in telecommunication engineering under the guidance of Professors Vicente Esbert Boria and Jorge Daniel Martínez. His research interest is currently focused on the CAD design, fabrication and measurement of tunable microwave filter in substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology, using different types of tuning elements.
