Abstract: The objective of the ISIC SPACE-CV proposal is to coordinate the research quality community in spatial field from our local and regional environment, integrating various multidisciplinary fields (Telecommunications and Informatics, Applied Physics and Electromagnetism, particle accelerators and Material Characterization) around the space axis and its applications for social welfare. Thanks to the active participation in this ISIC of the VSC consortium (as well as its direct relationship with ESA), partnerships with other well-known international groups in the field of space could be strengthen and brightest researchers in training could be attracted (this application includes a proposal for a cooperative graduate program of high-quality in the area of technologies and applications). In the field of scientific and technological excellence, this ISIC aims to support and coordinate the main lines of work (of multidisciplinary content), already being developed by the groups involved in this joint proposal. These lines of R&D&I are briefly listed below:
• Scientific-technological development of high frequency equipment and components for space communications.
• Theoretical and experimental investigation of materials with advanced properties for space applications.
• Use of RF and microwave components in other physical discipline (particle accelerators).
• Design and practical use of space platforms for scientific, technology and sustainability missions.
However, this ISIC is born with the will to integrate future research lines in the space field that may arise, whether generated by the different groups and entities making up the current proposal SPACE-CV, or by other groups (regional, national and / or international) who join this excellence network in space. In this sense, a medium-term objective of SPACE-CV is to contribute to the creation and maintenance of a future space center in the Valencian Community, sharing with the VSC consortium and the European Space Agency, the European Laboratory for High Power Effects on RF co-managed by both entities (and similar initiatives that could benefit in the future), and with technology based companies of the Valencian Community with activity in the space sector.
