Abstract: As part of this project is to develop a computer tool for computer-aided design of passive microwave devices (mainly filters) whose excitation is done via coaxial cable. For efficient and rigorous analysis of these structures, facilitating later design, the numerical method known in BI-RME 3D version will be adapted for the treatment of the aforementioned excitation. The computer tool will be used in the design of rectangular coupled cavities filters, and excited (the first and last one) via coaxial cable (penetration of the coaxial inner conductor into the rectangular cavity).
